Frequently asked questions with answers on the engine conversion technology

Can I Modify My Car From Instructions On The DEI DVD?

No, the DEI DVD contains information on the technology and how to order the engine conversion kit. It is a presentation of the problem and our potential solution. Along with the information on modifying engines is an opportunity to also solve your home energy costs. That is absolutely free! A witness registration request comes enclosed with the DEI-DVD.

What Is The Basic Idea Of The Modification?

That is explained on the DEI DVD as well as the problems that have blocked the advancement of the new technology. We are doing what should have been done in the first place; we are vaporizing and also pre-conditioning the fuel before entering into the engine.

Where Can I Have It Installed?

Purchase an engine conversion kit customized for your car. Give us your vehicle's specifications and we will get your custom kit to you with instructions. Most mechanics with welding skills can install it in under 4 hours. Complete installation instructions come with the kit.

How Much Will It Cost Me To Modify My Car?

Send in the supplied, original quote form and answer all of the questions, and we will prepare a bid (between $1,000-$3,000) for your engine conversion. We will also give you a price, delivery and instruction manual for that kit. If a mechanic can install it in under 4 hours and his time costs $50/hour, then figure $200 for installation plus the cost of the kit. It only has to be modified once for the life of the car.

Can I Get 100-Miles Per Gallon, Really?

We claim up to 100 miles per gallon from a history of modifying engines. We have not modified all engines. Our experience, on properly modified engines, ranged from 2.5x mileage to 3.5x mileage using gasoline only. 20 mpg becomes 50 mpg to 70 mpg (an average of 3x, or 60 mpg). We also discovered that a 50/50 mixture of gas and water worked great. We got super power at that mix. If you add 50% water, you use half as much gas, thus 50 becomes 100 and 70 becomes 140, etc. We are sure that 3x mileage without even using any water would be worth the conversion costs, especially at the current cost of gas and the fact that we all know that the price will be going up. By the way, one pint of wood alcohol per gallon of water will keep it from freezing. Wood alcohol is readily available and it is cheap.

Will Burning Water Rust Out My Engine?

"...air injects oxygen into your intake cycle... " The majority of internal combustion engines on the highway today use the Otto 4 stroke cycle, Intake, Compression, Power, and Exhaust. During the Intake cycle the Intake valve is open allowing the air/fuel mixture to enter the combustion chamber (a down stroke). Near the bottom of the Intake stroke the Intake valve closes. Next is the Compression stroke (an up stroke). Just before top dead center, the spark plug fires. Next is the Power stroke (a down stroke). Near the bottom of the Power stroke the Exhaust valve opens allowing the exhaust gas to escape during the Exhaust stroke (an up stroke). I believe saying air is injected during the Compression cycle (while both valves are closed) is incorrect. With pressures in the combustion chamber during the compression cycle reaching 100 to 130 PSI before ignition, what is being used to create a pressure differential to allow air to inject oxygen?

Will This Modification Void My Warrantee?

It should not. No more oil changes; longer engine life; and the car runs, as it was intended to, on vapors. We cannot guarantee what a manufacturer will ever do, but we do not believe they would wish to challenge this technology and, if they do, we will be willing to confront them with you.

Is It Less Polluting And Better For The Environment?

Watch one of the demonstrations on the DEI DVD where the demonstrator breathes the exhaust from an engine. We do not recommend that you do that, especially in the event that you did not install it properly. But, it is obviously possible to do when the engine is properly modified. Never do that under any circumstances with an unmodified engine! There is far less pollution with a properly modified engine (in the demonstration, the demonstrator also put dirty crank case oil in the fuel and there is no smoke coming out the exhaust).

"Energy Independence" in the news:

Why Obama's green jobs plan might work (Los Angeles Times)Some states -- including Michigan -- already see renewable energy as their future: It's the only sector that appears to be making room for more employees despite the recession. While Detroit's automakers struggle to rebuild their sputtering operations, the key to jump-starting Michigan's economy may lie 80 miles northwest of the Motor City.

Mont. lawmaker survey: Low wages, jobs big issues (AP via Yahoo! Finance) Democratic lawmakers are most likely to see low wages and a lack of jobs as two of the biggest issues facing the state, while Republicans are more likely to cite taxes as the problem, according to a survey of legislators.
